I have always been passionate about mental health and well-being. This passion has led me to study and work in the field of counseling to help individuals reach their optimum mental health. I have a clinical background in Physiotherapy specializing in working with those with neurological disorders and the elderly population. My belief in the vital need of a holistic approach to health sparked my interest in providing Mental Health services and paved the way for me to expand my career into Counseling. I have experience providing Mindfulness sessions and working with adults with stress, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and challenges with interpersonal relationships, as well as adolescents who are dealing with a variety of difficulties such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, and depression.
Building on my experience as a physiotherapist, I have a special interest in providing psychotherapy for adults who struggle with chronic pain as well as individuals who need cognitive rehabilitation and coping skills due to physical disabilities, injuries, and accidents. I am also passionate about increasing community awareness around mental health and reducing the stigma that comes with it, along with other barriers to accessing mental health care. I have a master’s degree in International Counseling from the Lehigh University and a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Jordan University and Coventry University respectively. I provide telehealth sessions on the “Sihaty” platform and am able to provide psychotherapy in English, Arabic and Farsi.
